Due to my eclectic background in dance, my goal is to provide students with variety in style, technique, and performance. I am a firm believer in being a versatile dancer and that the ability to master all kinds of dance leads to the formation of an intelligent and fearless artist. I enjoy combining all of the different aspects of my own training in order to give students a diverse wealth of knowledge that will be beneficial for them beyond the studio walls.
I am experienced in teaching traditional dance styles such as Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Modern, and Contemporary dance as well as improvisation, creative movement, and somatic practices.
As a firm believer in the power of dance as a physical, mental, and spiritual practice, I aim to work as a teaching artist for all people. Dance education and outreach is a strong passion of mine and my experience in the field has been incredibly rewarding. My education in pedagogy and movement theory have given me the tools to develop creative movement classes focused on mind-body connection and character development.
Whether I am working with experienced dancers training on a preprofessional level or beginners looking for a gentle introduction into movement, the most pivotal part of my teaching practice is setting up a positive and upbeat environment. I pride myself on knowing that I create a safe place for students to explore, analyze, and get to know themselves and others on a completely new level. My classes are student-centered and treated with meticulous care, empathy, love, excitement, and passion. I feel extremely thankful that I am able to share my love for dance with others through dance education.
